The Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon course received confirmation 1/8/2010 that the course is now certified by the USATF. Certification code CA10002RS. This means the race may be used as a Boston qualifier! Sign up now for this flat, fast course!

The Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon is organized by Modesto Shadow Chase.  The Modesto Marathon proceeds will benefit the Teens Run Modesto program, which challenges area youth, especially those at-risk, to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved physical fitness through a structured training program culminating in the running and completion of the Modesto Marathon.  Please see the official website for the Modesto Marathon.

**What is the Expo and where is it?
The Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon Expo will be held Saturday, March 20, at the Doubletree Hotel/Modesto Convention Center Plaza, 1150 Ninth St., Modesto, 95354, on Saturday, March 20, noon to 6 p.m. Runners and walkers are encouraged to pick up their bibs (race numbers) and goody bags and shirts during this time to avoid the congestion of race morning. There will be a limited number of booths offering running-related items and information. Golden Valley Health Centers will be on hand for free glucose screenings, blood pressure checks and a financial specialist will help sign up those without insurance for health care. Also, astronaut Jose Hernandez is expected to be available to greet runners at this free of charge event.
